Chipmunks eat a varied diet of nuts, seeds, berries, shoots from trees and even eggs and insects. You should try to give your chipmunk a variety of foods to keep it in peak condition.
You can buy a chipmunk mix from pet shops but also buy lots of monkey nuts and sun flower seeds. You should also try to give your chipmunk a variety of fruit and veg each day favourites include apple, grapes, cherries, strawberries and carrot but different chipmunks like other things too. You will get to know what he/she likes.
You should give nuts in shells "monkey nuts" to your chipmunks so the knawing can help keep its teeth trim as they do grow like hamsters & gerbils teeth.
Eggs, especially the whites are high in protein so try to give your chipmunks some of it in their diet every so often.
Remember that your chipmunks will probably take all the food from their bowls (not fresh food) and store it in their beds.

Monkey Nut
My own 2 chipmunks have their favourite foods which are Grapes, Strawberries, Mealworms & of course Monkey Nuts, They are also partial to conker nuts too. These are a great way of keeping their teeth in shape too.
I've found with my 2 chipmunks Frostie & Holly that Holly prefers fruit first where as Frostie prefers a nut 1st, Each chipmunk is different but you will eventually learn little traits about your own little munk.
