Hi,
To anyone selling, I'm interested in buying some Chipmunks !!
I'm on the lookout for three or preferably four female same litter agouti chipmonks to go in my large outdoor cage. My last pair of chipmunks unfortunately died of old age earlier this year and I'm desparate to get some more as soon as possible as I've been a keeper for 15 years and this is the first time I've been without them!! I notice that there are a couple of people with them for sale (posted on April 2nd and posted on May 3rd) please could you get in touch with me as I am prepared to travel to you to collect and will pay the prices that you are asking.
my e-mail address is simon@spphotographics.com
Thanks
Simon

Hello,
I have a new litter which unfortunately has two dilutes. I tried my best to keep the family apart but hey ho.
Does anyone have babies to swap with mine so we can reduce the chance of inbreeding.
I have agoutis, 2 dilutes.
If anyone has a cinnamon Male then I am willing to purchase to partner with my cinnamon female.
I have three aviaries all linked together with pipes covering a distance of approximately 18m long.
They are very well looked after.
Advice always available.
Kind regards
Steeler

The best chipmunk website I have found after considerable searching! Please keep up the good work.
One bit of news, however, Ian and Kieley from Wales have given up breeding chipmunks.
Best regards,
Ken from Swansea.

Hi again. I have just noticed how bad i am at maths and thought i'd better let you all know that the litter will be ready to go mid June not July as my last post said (2nd April).
I am also pleased to say that a new dilute chipmunk will be joining the family in May.
Apr 2 2009 06:56 pm
My female has just given birth to another litter. Ready to go to new homes mid July. At the moment I don't know how many (last time she had ten) or the sexes but I'm pretty good at sexing them as long as you bring me some clear containers. £20 each or £30 a pair.
I also have a breeding male that is in need of a good home. 'Scruf' needs a new home as i now have one female and two males.
and finally i'm on the look out for a female dilute chipmunk. I'm from Witham, Essex and don't mind a bit of traveling but within reason.
For further information email me on ehutto98@yahoo.co.uk

Hi, My name is Debbie, I live in Essex and currently have 4 chipmonks - 2 male, 2 female from different bloodlines. I am looking to get an additional two females, preferably at least 1 dilute, to ensure that my males are happy! They would have plenty of space, as they are in a purpose built outside aviary. They dont have to be babies, but would prefer they are tame, as my current chipmunks are. I would consider rescue chipmunks as long as they are not agressive. I am willing to travel to collect. My email is colonial_warrior@hotmail.co.uk
Great website by the way, I've been looking for a decent one for about a year now.

I have a problem. I thought my 2 chipmunks were male. One of them has what I can only describe as a growth kind of hanging from its tummy. It has been acting different lately, but looks very healthy and is still super active. Could it be a pregnant female?

Hi Sarah , 2 males can live together but they do usually fight when its breeding season so you may need a spare cage to seperate them if this happens & of course this would also mean you would need at least 4 females for the 2 males. Ratio being 1 male to 2-3 females. So its quite alot to think about with the room, & also potential litters from all the females. I would personally hang on til you find the 1 female, He will be ok alone for now & it wont do him any harm. I'll get in touch if i hear of a female for you. Mine are a pair so wouldnt be any good either x
Hi Jill ,unfortunately with us being a uk site really we dont get details of breeders over the waters. We do get asked about shipping chipmunks abroad & its something i wont do, Nor will most other chipmunk breeders as it isnt safe for the animal & is thought of as cruel. I cant speak on behalf of everyone but this is what is thought by all the breeders i know. We get asked alot about breeders in usa but we dont get info from the actual breeders. So im afraid i cant help, Maybe put an ad online for a breeder. Good Luck sorry i cant help more, If i hear of anyone local to you i will email you x

Hi Lyndsey thanks for ur reply ... they are kept outdoors in an aviary ... we found the other female the morning after and after much encouraging got her back in the cage .. unfortunately though she died this morning .. the male seems ok at the moment however i would still like to get him a friend. I do know of a male available do you think this would be suitable until we can get another couple of females? thanks again .. sarah x
Oct 5 2008 10:54 pm
~Hi sarah , sorry to hear about the loss of your chipmunks, Were they kept indoors? If so the 2nd female may be hiding you could try leaving food out & seal the room as much as poss when your not there see if any food is taken & also to feed it incase it is hiding. Check open fire chimneys, any holes, cupboards & behind tv too. If you check the breeders directory there may be someone close by. I will however email if i hear of someone in essex. The male will be ok , double check the cage is secure . lyndsey xx

Hi .. excellent site and thanks lyndsesy for ur help and advice when i first got my chipmunks !! I am very sad to say my 2 females escaped yesterday, the cat got to one of them and the other is still missing :( As you can imagine i am devasated and do not want to just replace my babies but i am now worried bout the male being on his own as hes always depended on the girls as hes very timid. Does anybody know of anyone who has any female chipmunks in the essex area .. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Sarahx

Hi all , Kay did a fantastic job on this website & i for one am glad this site is still going. Since taking over this site i haven't copied/pasted ANYTHING either so for the one who doesn't even have the decency to add a name either you are mistaken. If you don't agree with the content then move to another website & leave this one to the people who actually enjoy it, whether that be learning about chipmunks or showing us there own pictures. This site is still going well & everybody will agree it certainly provides the info they need.
Lyndsey

Hi,
This is Kay, im the one who first made this website.
None of it is plagerized.
When i first got my chipmunks i searched the net for info as i read up as much as possible before getting a pet and other than a few small websites there was only the chipmunkery with any useful information so i decided to make my own website for other people struggling to find info and contacts like i did. So id thankyou not to slate my website like that, i have not copy and pasted ANYTHING!

Oh yes ..the last post is from Crazymunk Lydsey...I'm not afraid to put a name to anything I post
Aug 30 2008 02:32 pm
Plagerized? Maybe some of it is but there is also a lot of stuff that isn't....the tips page...talk of breeding...the problems page.. Have you posted the same comment on all the other sites you visited? After all they are all the same as this one if your comment is to be believed !!!!!!
